Some homes just need a reset. Years of algae, mold, and grime can build up on siding and decking to the point where no amount of scrubbing by hand is going to cut it. That's exactly the kind of situation we walked into here - heavy biological staining running top to bottom on the siding, and a deck that had seen better days.
The siding on this home had a thick layer of green and grey buildup that had worked its way across pretty much every surface - the chimney column, the gable end, all of it. That kind of staining isn't just cosmetic. Left long enough, algae and mold eat into the surface and can cause real damage over time. Our house washing process lifts all of that out without hammering the siding with high pressure that could crack or warp it.
The deck got the same attention. It was covered in dirt, mildew, and that grey weathered look wood gets when it's been ignored. We worked through the full surface - boards, steps, railings - and pulled years of grime out of the grain. Once the wood dried down, you could see the actual color of the wood again instead of just a layer of buildup.
What we don't do is cut corners on coverage. We start at the top and work our way down, making sure the rinse carries everything off cleanly. No skipped sections, no streaking. The chimney column on this house is tall - that kind of vertical surface traps a lot of runoff staining over the years, and it took some extra work to get it clean all the way up.
Every exterior is a little different, but the goal is always the same - get the home back to looking the way it should. Whether it's the siding, the deck, or both, we show up with the right equipment and we don't leave until the job is done right.
